To Self With Love, TRANS BODIES R DIVINE (2022)

This art work features the my right hand’s journey through time, healthcare, and degenerative psoriatic arthritis mutilans. This transformation was aided by transphobic medical neglect in denying medication to prevent the degeneration of the hand and wrist joints. On display is the artist’s disabled trans body as pathologized specimen and sacred relic, arthritic manual labour as craft, and a song of self love.

 To Self With Love, TRANS BODIES R DIVINE (2022) was exhibited as a part of the group exhibition '“For a Spell” at VIVO Media Arts Centre November 2022 as was created as part of Ghinwa Yassine and VIVO’s collaborative workshop series “Artist as Artwork” in 2022.
